Over 2,000 people have lost power in Uptown after an object came in contact with power lines shortly before 6 a.m. According to Duke Energy officials, lightning struck powerlines around the 700 block of Central Ave, causing the outage. The outage is affecting the area outside of First Ward and Optimist Park.Outage link: outagemap.duke-energy.com/
