According to Public Service Electric and Gas, power outages were reported in their service area on Thursday afternoon, May 23. Affected areas include Caldwell and Montclair Township in Essex County. The outage map shows about 1,453 customers affected in the area. The cause of the outage seems to be related to the weather in the area. Crews are working to safely restore power to the area.
