Overnight storms knocked out power across the Triangle, including at a major intersection in Chapel Hill. The storms that caused the outages moved away in the early morning hours, but hundreds were still without power Thursday morning, most in Chapel Hill and southeast of the Triangle. By Thursday morning, power had been restored to most Raleigh customers, but there were more than 300 outages in Wake and Durham counties at 7 a.m. The most outages in central N.C. were in Granville County, where 2,529 were without power.
