There are reports of a power outage in downtown and central Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, Jan 31. The areas affected are primarily in neighborhoods around 23rd and 24th streets, Chester Avenue, between D and Q streets. The outage was affecting 848 customers and started at 11:26 a.m. Power is still out in the area.
