Possible scam for identify theft., West Columbia, SC, USA

As of today, 9/7/23, I have receive (5) packages with phone cords. I did not order these. Shipping date is 7/19/23.I’m skeptical by nature. Why are we receiving these.
Then it hit me. What if the “sender” got our names and addresses off of a data breach. If so, what if these cords are a trap.
1-we get too many, we share with family, friends & co-workers.
2-what if there is some built in tracking. If this is possible, the “sender” could retrieve every bit of our personal & financial information This could be identity theft.
I’m keep the packaging, I’m keeping the cords…BUT, I’m not using them.
This is very weird.
