Forty four (44) employees on Tour 2 alone are sick with Covid-19. Three (3) employees vomited in the facility on 1-10-20. The employer is not taking adequate action and measures to protect employees from Covid-19 infection according to CDC and OSHA guidelines: 1 The employer is not enforcing the use of face coverings for the employees working in the facility. 2 The employer is not enforcing social distancing by employees, in all departments. 3 The employer is not screening employees for possible Covid-19 symptoms, or fever, upon entry into the facility. 4 The employer is not adequately sanitizing areas, including common touch surfaces , and the bathrooms, and areas where employees worked tested positive. There has been no thorough sanitization of said areas. In addition in the bathroom there is mold around the sinks. 5 The employer has not trained the employees in the Covid-19 policies, such as the USPS Covid-19 Safety and Health Plan, their sick and leave policies if an employee tests positive for Covid-19, in departments including Tour 3, the overnight Tour. Employees report no such inservices have been provided by managers for employees. 6 There is an infestation of insects or vermin in the facility. 7 There is no hand sanitizer available in the facility for employees to sanitize their hands when they can't use washing facilities to thoroughly wash hands. 8 Employees are not being told, or notified, of how many other employees in the facility have become Covid-19 positive, or where those employees worked. 9 Fire extinguishers are blocked with improperly stored materials or rubbish, and exit doors are blocked with old cardboard boxes and mail carts. 10 On Tour 3, the overnight Tour, there was an employee who tested positive who worked in OI Cell also known as the Rapid Scan. However, the managers did not inform the employees who may have been exposed to this employee of the positive status, nor determine who else may have been exposed to the employee to address possible additional exposures. 11 Employees are coming to work sick because they have used leave or The Family First Coronavirus Response Act as administered by USPS, and have to work to get paid. This is increasing Covid-19 transmission in the facility.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-01-11
