'- Employer has refused to put any precautions into place or to enforce state mandates to protect employees, the public, clients and daily guests. - Employer has recently allowed an employee to work in the office after testing positive instead of staying quarantined. They have allowed exposed employees to continue to work instead of quarantining. They have allowed exposed employees to immediately return to work after a negative test instead of following through on their quarantine. Once back at work, these employees continue to refuse to wear masks, social distance, or follow other safety precautions. - These are some examples of the unsafe working conditions: There is currently not a mask requirement sign on the front door, only a sign that says not to enter if you are exhibiting certain symptoms. In November, a staff member's spouse tested positive. Management said state labor laws say the employee could return to work if their test was negative and would not have to quarantine even though the employee was living with the affected spouse. There were employees available to fill in for the employee. Earlier this year, an employee was exposed and waiting for results. This employee was allowed to continue to work with no mask and no social distancing. The employee did not quarantine and was living alongside their quarantined child. There were employees available to fill in for the employee. In November and December, an employee was allowed to return to work twice with negative test results after being exposed. A quarantine was not enforced. On a third occasion shortly after being exposed, the employee felt sick and the owner told them that they could return the next day if they felt better. Employees exposed to positive employees in Nov./Dec. continued to work with no quarantine. Radio show guests, advertising clients, public prize winners, etc. not informed they may have been exposed. An employee immediately quit when another employee was allowed to return to work after international travel with no quarantine or safety precautions. Broadcasting equipment (headphones, microphones, computers) and office equipment (computers, telephones, copier, etc.) are shared and not cleaned. A pitch-in Christmas dinner party was held December 21st. Approximately 30 people were invited. There was no social distancing and not wearing masks despite public claims that the party would follow safety guidelines. Some people were sitting at the table that held the food. It is a small kitchen without space for even a few people to properly distance. No Covid-19 plan put in place by the deadline this spring. Masks are not worn and social distancing is not followed or enforced. No barriers at counters or desks. Individual offices are small or are in shared spaces and hallways are very narrow. It is not possible to be socially distanced, but there are no barriers anywhere for protection. Food is left out in the open to share during the pandemic, and dirty dishes that could be contaminated are left scattered in piles in the kitchen for someone else to clean. Misinformation is broadcast on the radio. For example, diminishing the importance of masks and mocking people who wear masks by claiming that the people who wear masks are 80% of those who have tested positive. They shared ways to self-diagnose by claiming that if you can hold your breath for 10 seconds without coughing you are healthy. Management has made their beliefs clear because they also have publicly posted conspiracy theories that downplay Covid-19 on social media. Requests to social distance away from co-workers in the workspace have been blatantly ignored and management has made no efforts to correct it. Nothing is being cleaned or disinfected regularly. Filthy entry doors are just one example. Workplace harassment.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-01-05
