Regulatory Report

8283 Office Park Drive, Grand Blanc Township, 48439 Michigan, United States

1. An employee informed the company on Friday (1/8) that they believed they were exposed to COVID-19, the company told them to still come in to the center (8283 Office Park Drive) that day. The employee was tested Friday night and returned to work Monday as well. Monday night (1/11) they received a positive COVID test result and immediately informed the company. The company instructed them not to tell anyone. Approximately 30 employees and 20-25 children were exposed. 2. The company did not formally inform staff of the positive case until midday Tuesday, thus permitting all staff and clients to return without quarantining or further testing. To the best of my knowledge clients families were not informed of the positive case. 3. The company still intends on having an in person all staff meeting (approximately 60 employees) Friday (1/15) at the center where there is not enough room to properly socially distance. 4. Staff and clients (about 20+ individuals) are all expected to eat snack/lunch in the same small area at the same time, where social distancing isn't possible and masks aren't worn. 5. Toys, surfaces, handles, and materials touched by all staff and clients are not sanitized regularly or properly, if at all. 6. Thermometers used to temp clients and staff are broken and unreliable. The company will permit a child to stay even though they are running a fever and/or obviously don't feel well. They will use these unreliable thermometers and continuously test until they have a reading below 100.4. 7. The company has previously had a COVID outbreak following these same protocols and procedures which impacted a large number of employees.
