1. Rule 4. No known COVID-19 preparedness and response plan: a) No written preparedness and response plan made available to employees to identify how the employer meets the current guidance from the CDC, OSHA or the MDHHS. b) Void a written preparedness and response plan, there is no training or verbal communication of proper COVID-19 protocols, company expectations, or employee health and safety education. 2. Rule 5. Lack of basic infection prevention measures: a) No training or promotion of frequent and thorough hand washing. Employees provided their own hand sanitizer because it was not available in the workplace by the employer. b) No known cleaning procedures in place by the employer to clean frequently touch surfaces, common spaces, office equipment, etc. c) No remote work policy in place to prohibit in-person work for employees whose work activities can feasibly be completed remotely. Additionally, resistant to approve requests from employees to work remotely. 3. Rule 6. Non-existent health surveillance measures: a) No daily entry self-screening protocol for employees in place. b) No training or directives to employees, to promptly report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 to the employer before or during the work shift. 4. Rule 7. No workplace controls in place. a) Not aware of anyone to be named as a COVID-19 Safety Coordinator who knows or cares about COVID-19 and preventing the spread in the workplace. b) There is no information or training with regard to hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and staying home when sick. Clear expectations are not communicated to employees who are tested for COVID-19; remain at home until negative test results are received, do not report work for at least 10 days if test positive, etc. c) Social distancing is not encouraged. No planned social distancing measures in place at the worksite, some workspaces may be 6 feet apart while others are not. d) Facemasks were not made available to employees.
