N95 respirators have been required for the past several weeks when working the unit containing COVID positive inmates, though due to low staffing administrators have changed policy so N95 respirators are now not required, to help staff the unit. Some officers working the unit have not been fit for a respirator and administration is forcing officers to wear only a cloth facemask while interacting with COVID positive offenders if they have not been fit for a respirator.
