Due to construction for the repair of a watermain, the water consumers of Brunswick County from 559 to 416 Jabbertown Road, 903 to 1197 E Leonard Street, 1730 to 1773 E. Moore Street, all of Shepherd Road SE and Nichols Avenue SE in Southport will be out of service on August 3, 2022, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Outages in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system. Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption.
