A precautionary boil water advisory Friday for the Jacksonville Heights area and other neighboring communities. The utility says the advisory is due to a 16″ water main break at Noroad and California Avenue near Old Middleburg Road.

If you’re in these areas then you should bring your water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before you use it to drink, cook or prepare food. They also recommend flushing your water lines for three minutes after the water returns to get rid of any air or possible sediments from the lines.
