is to be testing students grades K-2 in schools where known Covid positive cases have been diagnosed within the past week. The staff has requested to stay within their own designated schools to maintain contact with the same students they have been in contact with since August. The staff has been denied these requests. The requirement of this testing began today at Waverly Elementary where two classes worth of students, which the Title 1 staff was already exposed to, was sent home for contact tracing, while the Title 1 staff was present. The Title 1 staff is to report to a second elementary school tomorrow, December 8 at 9 a.m., and a different elementary school each day this week. The entire staff is worried, as are the principals, but these leaders of our staff and district continue to maintain the opinions that we will be safe and our health will not be in danger while working within different school buildings each day.
