Thousands of residents across the Peninsula lost power Sunday night after strong storms blew through the area, downing trees and blocking roadways. As of Sunday night, the City of Williamsburg said more than 2,500 customers were without power throughout the city due to Sunday’s storm. The city also reported that trees fell in several areas. As of Monday morning, just over 100 Dominion customers were without power in Williamsburg, with about 500 out in York County and around 100 out in James City County.
