The nursing home has a major scabies outbreak. Instead of providing staff individual ppe they are having us reuse gowns that we hang on the back of the door on a hook. Several of us have been having symptoms of scabies now and the facility will not
protect us. All of us treating scabies patients, staff are not kept free from contagious conditions. Staff have not been fit tested for N95 masks and are taking care of covid positive patients. We are also using a gown and hang it on the back of the door after we use it and can spray it off. There is no way it can be fully cleaned that way. The facility is not protecting staff from contagious conditions. This has been going on since October 2020.
