I received my 1st dose of the Pfizer Covid Vaccine 3 Mar 21 @ Geisinger Hughes Center. The staff was exemplary. I have never experienced Pride so thick it filled the room upon entering. Every single employee was equally as happy to be playing their role. Very moving!
As for side effects, it was way different from the flu shot in that the pain was Minimal. I traveled far (over 100 miles) to acquire my vaccine due to medical urgency, but will not do it next year, for it caused (again, Minimally) a few eye floaters while driving home. Slight arthritic flareup, to be expected as a Fibromyalgia patient. Mild body weakness upon getting in... attributed to adrenaline and pure Relief! NO headache, extraordinary, considering I suffer from Chronic Daily Migraine and even had to halt migraine injection treatments to receive this vaccine.
Next day: woke up fine but throughout the day started feeling an iron drop. I am recovering anemic and not surprised. In fact it feels indicative of the vaccine efficacy, but I will be prepared for an iron drop with my daughter who is anemic as well.
Overall, I am grateful and recommend everyone go when it is their turn. It is worth it to return to normal life with freedom, knowing you did your part.
