Coronavirus - Covid-19 - Denied Testing
Updated:
I know there’s a lack of available test kits and I have all the symptoms of covid 19 and were in the middle of a pandemic but my doctor diagnosed me with it
I can't get my mother, who has all the symptoms of coronavirus, a test in NY state because she hasn't been in contact with someone confirmed to have the virus. But maybe the person she got it from was denied a test? And anyone she infects will also be denied tests. It's a mess.
In dire need of help in Georgia I have a sister-in-law who has been to the hospital twice and sent home with all underlying symptoms of COVID-19. Never to be tested but with hospital facilities telling them they’re sure she had it but unless she was put in ICU no test please help
Ok i may or may not have coronavirus. I haven't been tested. But these symptoms suggest strongly that i got it. I just don't know if I'm shaking cos of ms fever or anxiety
COVID-19 symptoms. Denied test, Minnesota, USA

I have symptoms of COVID-19, I called my clinic to get a test. They said just having symptoms doesn't qualify and I'd have to be admitted to the hospital to get a test. I said the POTUS said if I want a test I can get a test. The nurse laughed.
Coming to terms with the fact that I likely have COVID-19. So far my symptoms are uncomfortable but not serious - sore throat, mild fevers, persistent cough; mild shortness of breath. I also feel sore all over; tired all the time. I don’t meet the criteria for
testing. My daughter missed the last day of school because we thought she had a mild cold. I caught it around a week later. At first I believed it was just a cold but as time has gone on it is clear the symptoms are most like COVID -19. Fortunately My husband is yet to show symptoms. He is a doctor but fortunately not in contact with patients right now & is currently working from home on COVID-19 issues. I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine & my symptoms will remain mild but it’s frustrating not being able to be tested
I have been exposed to a symptomatic COVID-19 patient, but because I have not had "serious symptoms", I am unable to get tested and am expected to see "urgent" patients without the benefit of an N95 mask because there is a shortage? How about the body shops who have cases of them
I have been pretty ill for nearly a week now and have all the symptoms of Covid-19. The symptoms come and go, but it has pretty much been a nightmare. I have been told by the NHS that I ‘almost certainly’ have contracted the virus, but they
cannot test me me. Simply put, they are not testing people unless you are in severe need or fit in the vulnerable bracket. I have been self-isolating for a week and will continue to do so a week after my symptoms have gone. I started with a cough, before developing a pretty high temperature (39.7C) and finally losing sense of taste and smell - makes dieting way easier, mind. But for me the worst symptoms are persistent headaches, maybe because of the temperature, making isn’t difficult to concentrate, or even sleep. From what I was told from a GP, this is also a common symptom.
Wanted to share publicly that i most likely had/have coronavirus (was in close contact with someone who tested positive, had many symptoms) but was told to just stay home because of the limited testing. thanks America! the numbers are so off for this thing as well as
the death rate. if that means higher or lower idk, but i’m pissed about it.
aight so my 70 y/o dad clearly shows symptoms of covid-19 but they don’t test him? hospitals are out?? my head HURTS.
our hospitals need more tests. I don’t care what y’all have to enact, but please do it.
