I've known two people who tried to get tested for COVID-19. Both had symptoms. Neither of them were able to receive a test given the limited supply. One of them is an X-ray technician who has regular contact with patients. When are the tests arriving?

So my friend in Sydney has all the tell tale symptoms of Covid-19. Fever, coughs, sore throat etc... After calling the national hotline to arrange for an appointment to get tested he was DENIED. Told to call again when he has ‘severe respiratory distress’

I’ve developed all symptoms of COVID-19 over the past 2 days but shortage of breath. Spoke to my DR & was told I can’t be tested until I’m at a critical condition but it sounds like it could be it. So nice knowing that regular people can’t be tested but celebs can w/ no symptoms.

my mother, a veteran, is showing covid-19 symptoms. the VA refuses to test her, despite her trouble breathing, because her symptoms are not severe enough. She is over 65, so in the range of concern. the VA cares, right?

I have every symptom of coronavirus, including the GI symptoms, and it’s miserable. I cannot get tested, and our county is out of tests till Tuesday or later. Meanwhile, all the people I’ve interacted with could be carrying it and passing it on further. WE NEED MORE TESTS.

My mom has Lupus & that means she’s immune compromised & contracting COVID-19 would be extremely dangerous. My mom has begun showing symptoms & has been trying to get tested all day. She has yet to be tested. Our system is not prepared for this.
