Dream Bone dog treats, Jackson, KY, USA

6 months ago reported by user-dhcr4146

We have been giving our dogs these treats, being advertised as a healthy alternative to raw hide. Our oldest female Chihuahua became ill on a Thursday evening. We contacted our vet and where advised to monitor her behavior and change her diet for twenty four hours. She … See More
was vomiting and would not eat. Then diarrhea came. It was very bloody and had yellow in it with mucous. She was panting and trying to hide. The next morning her symptoms had become more severe. Our vet suggested we take her to an emergency hospital. Her kidney’s where failing and she was in diabetic shock. We where told with her age and symptoms she had a 5% chance to make it. She passed that morning. She was over 15 years old. She was part of our family. We trusted Dream Bones to be safe, do not be deceived!!! They are not safe and the FDA should start holding these companies accountable. There are no regulations on pet foods or treats! We should do better. Our furbabies deserve better standards. These bones poisoned all of our dogs and caused death in one. The company that markets these did treats need to be held accountable. Laws need to change and our pets need to be protected!  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Bloody Stool, Mucus in Stools

1. In returning to work next week it has been brought to the employees attention that the employer is not allowing time for proper sanitization between clients. Clients are being booked back to back; employees have no time for breaks or lunches in some cases, and have … See More
no time to properly clean between appointments. This endangers both employees and clients during this ongoing COVID crisis. In the salon and spa employees work with all parts of the body; mucus membranes and blood born pathogens included. Any solution that has the ability to properly sanitize takes a full 10 minutes of contact to work, minimum. When employees are requesting time to properly sanitize, they are being told "no" by upper management. Employees do not feel comfortable or safe returning to work under these types of conditions. Safety should come first. Here is a detailed breakdown of the issue: Each service allows for "hands on time," and then usually 5-10 minutes of "turn over time," where employees are able to clean their workspace. This is a time crunch under even normal circumstances. Now with fighting and trying to prevent the spread of COVID and the type of sanitization that is required to keep people safe, 5-10 minutes is no longer enough time. There are also many services that have NO TURN OVER TIME added to the service time. Pre-COVID that was not an issue, but it is now. The employer when approached with the issue, was not willing to correct the issue.

PPE: Workers on an inpatient psych floor (5C) with known Covid-19 positive patients are not provided adequate PPE while working in close proximity to patients who exude spittle, mucus, droplets, aerosols, and sweat while the staff provides care, takes vitals, conducts restraint, or positions patients, creating an … See More
exposure distance ranging from direct skin contact to 6-12 inches. Staff are provided surgical masks but not N-95 respirators. RNs, LPNs and CNAs continue to work without access to N-95 masks Fit testing Some RNs, LPNs and CNAs were not afforded an opportunity to be fitted for N-95 masks and are now being told it is un-necessary. Training Management states that surgical masks are adequate PPE. Hazard communication Staff were told after patients tested positive that they were a low risk exposure and that self-quarantining or testing was not indicated, that the VA would not be testing 5C employees at this time. Other units in the hospital tested their employees after they were exposed to COVID-19. CPAPS: Staff assist pts with the use of CPAP machines before and after patients use them, but there is no policy for cleaning the CPAPs , either before or after the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The used CPAPs are stored in a room where staff do laundry and where patient's personal belongings are stored. Cross contamination could easily occur especially if machines are not being cleaned.

I've had this "second round" of Coronavirus symptoms for over 3 weeks now. On final day of antibiotics. I'm not like hacking up mucus and shit though so I don't know if I have pnumonia.. it's just that my chest is still heavy and breathing is still … See More
short and isn't improving. I think our country has done an absolutely terrible job when it comes to properly testing and diagnosing people. It's causing not just to our statistics to be wildly inaccurate, but also carriers are assuming they don't have it and are going out shopping and spreading it.

My dad still at this point does not believe I have Coronavirus. He has been near me loads of times, and he has not picked up any symptoms. My mum has been near me, she had mild symptoms for a couple of days twice (a two week period inbetween each run of it).

My local hospital told me they just don't have swabs to test with, which means they are either being under supplied, or are they are using them purely for medical staff and extreme cases. It's not good enough.

My local GP wants nothing to do with me and just tell me to ring 111. They just tell me to self isolate. Clinician has been most helpful, but they can't give me chest xrays and shit over the phone so they can't accurately diagnose me and know how to continue treatment.

All of this uncertainty is getting to me. I'm having bouts where my symptoms get worse and I honestly can't tell if it's my body getting worse or if I am panicking and it's anxiety exacerbating symptoms. I'm just in this perpetual guessing game with too much time to ponder

Right now, I'm on day 5 of Amoxycillin. 2 more pills to take. My breathing has been sucky today quite possibly because I'm anxious as the pills have done nothing and I still have symptoms. It's making my dizzy and nauseous, and my chest pain sucks.  | Symptoms: Chest Pain, Nausea, Dizziness, Mucus in Stools

I wanted to start to document my symptoms of coronavirus. If you feel that you might have it please go get tested and stay inside. Ok, here’s what happened:

instantly went to bed. I woke up throughout the night and noticed that I had a fever and trouble breathing. I also experienced some terrible nightmares but I don’t know if that is related.
Day 2: I woke midday after sleeping for about 15 hours the previous day. I’d slept through multiple alarms and also missed my bus for school. A lot of my symptoms had actually cleared up but I was having a mild headache. Also, I noticed I no longer needed to use my glasses.
Day 3: I noticed that my hands started sticking to almost everything I touched and I had to consciously think about not sticking to things to make it stop. I called my physician over my concerns but only reached his voicemail. I decided to order a pizza and work on science.
Day 5: I developed a cough and noticed some mucus build up as well. I also decided to make myself a blue and red arachnid like suit to go help the citizens off NY. Also, still feeling fatigued and took big nappy nap.  | Symptoms: Mucus in Stools
