A power outage was reported at West Jumping Brook Road and Route 66 in Neptune Township after a motor vehicle crash hit a utility pole. According to the First Energy outage map, power has already been restored to most of the customers in the area.

While Tropical Storm Ophelia has weakened and the worst of the fierce weather is over for New Jersey, thousands of homes and businesses remain without power early Sunday. As of 8:15 a.m. Sunday, more than 8,000 customers were without power statewide.
