being out since Monday afternoon. Approximately 70 customers had been affected. As early as 4:30 p.m. Monday, stoplights along W. Ehringhaus and Road streets were seen without power during Monday’s rain storm on Elizabeth City. Homes off Riverside Avenue in the Williams Circle area, too, were without power. On Halstead Boulevard, the State Employees Credit Union was without power. Several stoplights along Hughes Boulevard heading north also were down, and power seemed to be out as far north on Road Street as The Pines.
