A line of strong thunderstorms rolled across Michigan on Wednesday 17th. Thousands of homes and businesses were left without electricity, according to DTE Energy. DTE Energy was reporting 13,000 power outages by early evening, with the biggest outages in Madison Heights and Fraser.

A boil water advisory has been issued for 23 communities after the Great Lakes Water Authority discovered a leak in its largest main.The 120-inch water main carries drinking water from its Lake Huron facility to communities in the northern part of its drinking water service area.
