There were two water breaks along the same line on Cross Street between East 12th and 17th streets this week that resulted in customers without water and boil alerts that have since expired. The city canceled the final boil advisory on Friday morning, August 2nd.

Around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 about 11,800 customers were without power in Des Moines and 3,500 were in West Des Moines after thunderstorms and severe weather aren't leaving Iowa anytime soon. According to the outage map, power has been restored to the area.
