An electrical service disruption has been reported in the intersection of St. Joseph Avenue and Franklin Street in Evansville after a truck hit a utility pole around 2:00 a.m. Several hundred businesses and homes were without power for about an hour.

According to CenterPoint Energy, 3,000 customers were powerless Saturday morning. The outage is a result of severe thunderstorms. As of 7:30 a.m., more than 3,000 customers without electricity across its service map, the most affected customers were in Evansville area.
