Effective immediately the PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY issued on July 3, 2022 to East Chicago residents and customers is hereby LIFTED as laboratory sampling/testing confirms that the water quality has not been affected and is safe to drink.

Boil water - Cause: unday, July 3, 2022 at approximately 7:10am and 9:12am, the East Chicago Water Filtration Plant experienced a loss of pressure which resulted in a temporary drop in high service pressure to the city.
