Hundreds of PG&E customers are currently without power near Fortuna due to weather, according to the utility. Just after 6 p.m. on Monday, PG&E says approximately 1,622 of their customers lost power. So far, the utility has not announced a time for when they expect power to be restored to customers.
Update 8:45 p.m.: Just over 500 PG&E customers remain without power near the Humboldt Hill area. There are still a small handful of customers affected by weather-related outages in areas such as Fortuna, Loletta, Kneeland, Pine Hills, Eureka and Rio Dell.

Over one thousand residents are without power following a 5.4 magnitude earthquake that rocked the community of Rio Dell earlier this morning. According to the PG&E Outage Map, at least 1,074 residents have lost power in the Rio Dell area.

I looked at these drones on Facebook. I put my first name in my last name, and after that I left the site didn’t think a thing about it did not give them any personal information whatsoever. Apparently, they are able to pull your credit card off of your computer because the next thing I know I’ve got two Drones sitting at my house Not even want these cheap things there is no way of sending them back. Walmart has issued a recall for over 51,750 units of its Mainstays Electric Mini Choppers due to a laceration hazard. The product, sold exclusively at Walmart, has a blade that can operate unexpectedly, posing a risk to consumers. The issue came to light after Walmart received five … See More
reports of lacerations, two of which required medical attention, including stitches. These injuries occurred during assembly or cleaning/handling of the product.

The choppers were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online from August 2022 through October 2023, priced between $10 and $15. The recalled product is the Mainstays Electric Mini Chopper with model number MS14100094536S1. These choppers are rechargeable and cordless, featuring a green lid, white body, and clear plastic bowl. They come with a single blade attachment, which includes three curved blades on a white plastic spindle. The model number can be found on the label attached to the bottom of the clear plastic bowl.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled choppers, and contact Walmart to receive a full refund. Consumers can bring the chopper to their nearest Walmart store for a refund.
