On 12/18, I ordered 2 heated vests from Amazon as gifts. They arrived and were rad enough that I decided I needed one for myself, so I ordered a heated vest from a different Amazon listing on 12/27. On 12/31, I received a package sent through USPS containing a heated jacket with no battery. I originally thought my vest order had gotten screwed up. However, a couple hours later, the heated vest with battery that I had ordered was delivered, in an Amazon box, by a dude driving an Amazon truck. The package with the mysterious jacket (which fits me perfectly BTW) contains no packing label or invoice and there is no record of it on my Amazon orders. The return address is for "Online Seller", and the USPS tracking says the label was created back on 12/20. Googling the return address shows a number of other people receiving unordered items from the same address right around the same time. I'm sure it's a scam, but I can't figure out what the scam is. I don't see any unauthorized charges on my credit union account or on any credit cards. It seems like a pretty expensive item to send as a brushing scam, especially if there is seemingly no business attached that would be collecting a fake review. Is it purely a coincidence that I received a heated jacket after shopping for heated vests? It can't be, right? So what's the scam?
