I am reporting I got a gra moissanite ring that I didn't order. And I did some research online and found out this is a known scam

It comes with a card with a QR code that you are supposed to scan to get info about your ring, but it downloads a virus to your phone to steal your information.

What should I do?
For all of you asking what the scam is, I can tell you how it happened to me. I clicked on an ad that appears to be for a well-known reputable company and I ordered a bunch of stuff. I was sent a tracking number almost immediately (too quickly for it to be real). After a month and a half, I finally received a package with that tracking number, which only included this fake diamond ring. In a nutshell, scammers are posing as reputable companies to get people's credit card numbers. They then send a fake package with this diamond ring just so they have a verifiable tracking number. Then if you dispute it with your credit card as a fraudulent payment, they send the credit card company the tracking and claim they did in fact send your order and it was delivered. I was able to still successfully contest the payment with my credit card company, thankfully. If you received one of these diamond rings, please check your credit card statements and see if there are any charges you dont recognize.

Received mine via Amazon. I imagine we are suppose to “register” via the barcode and then our information is stolen. I recently ordered from Temu… even my kids told me not to! 🤨
