I'm sorry to say that a common scam these days is where you order some item and the item that you ordered never arrives; however, in its place, someone sends a cheap item that you did not order and it leaves you wondering. Later, you call your credit card company to dispute the item that you did order but never received and they immediately refund your money while they investigate. A month later, your credit card company writes and lets you know that they have decided to award the money to the scammer because the scammer provided a tracking number showing that the item was delivered to your address (not the item that you ordered, but a cheap worn pair of jeans in your case). It is very hard to prove at that point that you were scammed. I previously fell for this same scam and had these exact results; however, after coming to safelyhq and seeing that other people had fallen for this same scam, I took photos of the cheap earbuds that I had received along with a photo of the tracking number in a tiny package that could not have contained the 12 pounds of fresh crab that I had ordered. I provided that to my credit card company along with a screen grab of my order for crab. They finally decided the case in my favor. I then got onto the FBI website and filed an IC3 form with all of this information. That was in June and I have not heard back from them. So, our FBI is obviously too busy trying to hunt down political enemies of the current administration to see to the welfare and safety of our citizens. Good luck!

I was able to prove to my credit card company it was a scam because I had a picture of what I ordered and a picture of what I received
