I was employed by a local construction company, as health and safety administrator, so I am quite aware of safety requirements. Approximately 6 weeks ago as I was driving to my residence I saw workers installing a roof on a condo in our community. The workers on the roof were not tied off. I stopped and asked to speak to the person in charge. I explained that according to OHSA guidelines those workers om the roof should be tied off. The person in charge assured me that the issue would be taken care of. It never was, so I called and reported the issue to your office. I, however, did not note the information for my records. The gentleman I spoke to assured me it would be investigated.
