About 800 Evergy customers were without electricity after a significant power outage developed in West Emporia early Tuesday morning, August 13. The outage was reported just before 6:00 a.m. and affected customers from Dryer Park to Jones Park north to east and Dryer Park to Weaver Street north to south.
