More than 15,000 residents in the Salt Lake Valley were without electricity Monday 5th, in the afternoon, with the outages largely caused by damaged power lines. Around 4 p.m., Rocky Mountain Power reported 15,121 total customers affected by outages statewide. About 12,000 of the impacted customers were in the area of West Jordan and South Jordan. The two main outages were attributed to damaged lines, according to RMP. The others were on the east side near Cottonwood Heights.Outage link: www.rockymountainpower.net/outages-safety.html
