According to the DTE Energy outage center, more than 3,700 homes and businesses were waiting at about 2:20 p.m.for restoration of electricity — up about 700 from the previous hour. By 4 p.m., the number of outages was at 2,700. One area impacted with larger outages was around South Lyon, where the city’s police department warned that traffic lights without power are treated as four-way stop signs. West of the Metropolitan Airport in Romulus, more than 900 customers were without power. Outages there show estimated restorations between 4 and 5:30 p.m.Outage link: outage.dteenergy.com/map
