A tree toppled onto a car in Richmond on Monday, August 12. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Dylan Way near Clarke Avenue. The tree also took out a large section of overhead electric wiring, leaving about 500 Con Edison customers temporarily without power. The outage extended roughly from Richmond, Arthur Kill, and Richmond Hill roads as well as Clarke Avenue, according to Con Edison’s outage map.
