More than 1,200 Appalachian Power customers in southwest and central Virginia are dealing with outages Wednesday morning as rain continues to fall around the region.
As of 6:58 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, Appalachian Power says at least 1,203 customers are without power in the following localities:
Franklin County: 530 customers due to six outage cases
Roanoke County: 197 customers due to seven outage cases
Montgomery County: 154 customers due to five outage cases
Patrick County: 111 customers due to one outage case
Bedford County: 87 customers due to two outage cases
Giles County: 29 customers due to three outage cases
Roanoke City: 27 customers due to five outage cases
Henry County: 19 customers due to three outage cases
Botetourt County: 18 customers due to two outage cases
Amherst County: 16 customers due to four outage cases
Floyd County: Five customers due to one outage case
Pulaski County: Five customers due to one outage case
Campbell County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
Carroll County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
Craig County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
Grayson County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
Wythe County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
