A major route in Sumter is closed due to a crash that dropped powerlines on the road on Saturday morning. According to the Sumter Police Department, a portion of Lafayette Drive is closed at Phillips Street because of the crash. The police department warned of possible power outages in the area as well, however, official outage maps are not yet showing any significant issues in the area as of noon.Outage link: outagemap.duke-energy.com/
