The downtown area of Springfield experienced a power outage due to an accident on 7th Avenue on Wednesday, November 27. A crash damaged a utility pole, snapping the top half in two and draping live wires over the awning at Austin & Bell Funeral Home. The wires in turn ignited the awning. Springfield Fire crews arrived quickly and extinguished the fire.Outage link: springfieldtn.gov/176/Electric
