According to the Baltimore City Fire Department, units were dispatched to the 300 block of N Charles Street around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sep 29, where firefighters discovered fire showing from a manhole at the intersection of Charles and Pleasant Street. By 8:30 a.m., the fire was extinguished, and power was turned off to the surrounding area. At noon, BGE announced that nearly 2,200 customers were without power in the area.
