Mount Holly, North Carolina, United States

Power outages were reported in the greater Charlotte area Monday 1st morning. According to Duke Energy outage map, about 3,000 customers are without power near Mount Holly, this outage was first reported around 5:25 a.m. and is expected to be resolved by 10:00 a.m. Additionally, about 1,000 customers are without power in a community at the southwest corner of Lake Norman by Lowesville. The cause of both of those outages has not yet been announced. Another 1,000 customers are affected on the Carolina border near Ballantyne due to an object coming into contact with power lines. Power has been restored for most of the customers affected.
