More than 25,000 electric customers in southern and western New Hampshire were without power after severe thunderstorms swept through the state on July 16th, Tuesday night. Most outages were Eversource customers centered around south and southwestern New Hampshire, around 24,000.As of 9 p.m. July 16th, nearly 4,000 customers were out in Milford and Nashua, 2,600 in Amherst, and nearly 2,000 in Hollis. Merrimack and Wilton had around 1,300 without power, while Brookline had 900. The outages in Amherst, Brookline, and Hollis represent nearly 50 percent of customers in each town. Nearly the entire community of Lyndeborough is without power.
