NIPSCO reported over 1,000 customers in its Michigan City service area and more than 700 customers in its La Porte service area were without power on Wednesday morning, August 28 after high winds and heavy rain brought down trees, limbs, and power lines. Indiana Michigan Power Company reported over 500 customers were still without service earlier this morning in its New Buffalo service area along with more than 1,500 and over 1,000 customers were without power in the Union Pier and Grand Beach areas.Nipsco: www.nipsco.com/outages/power-outages/storm-center
