Marlboro Township reported a power outage affecting customers early Wednesday morning, August 14. The cause of the outage was a downed wire, which initially affected about 260 customers. According to Hoenig, JCP&L crews opened two other phases to safely make repairs, which then affected an additional 465 customers for approximately 30 minutes.
