Auburn residents found themselves without power early Friday afternoon. Power went out at 11:17 a.m. and affected 1,873 customers from Luther Road in North Auburn to High Street in downtown, according to the PG&E power outage map. The outage is currently affecting 1,014 customers from just below Marguerite Mine Road to High Street as of 12:26 p.m. According to PG&E, an assessment crew is assessing the cause at the outage location.
