According to Shelby Energy Cooperative, someone broke into a power substation in a city northeast of Louisville in order to steal copper wiring, causing a power outage in the process. To get the substation back up and operational, the cooperative said it would have to take it completely down for about three hours impacting 1,500 customers temporarily. Since they reported the outage around 2:00 p.m. Saturday, that would make 5:00 p.m. the hopeful target for power to be restored.Outage link: shelbyenergy.ebill.coop/maps/OutageWebMap/
