Power has been restored to 11,000 customers in Brunswick County as of 2:53 p.m.. According to the Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation outage map, most of the outages were in the Leland area. A BEMC post on social media that about 2 p.m. stated that a crew was en route to assess the situation. An update posted at 2:28 p.m. stated that the BENC was working to reroute power from alternate sources to restore service.
