Thousands of Madison Gas and Electric and Alliant Energy customers were without power Tuesday morning after storms rolled through the Madison area overnight. About 1,600 customers were without power. Most were just east of Lake Monona. Those numbers dropped to 616 customers without power around just before 5:30 a.m. Alliant Energy's outage map showed nearly 2,900 customers without power.
