Highway 321, Gaston, South Carolina, United States

A portion of Highway 321 near Gaston has now reopened after it was blocked for several hours after several powerlines were torn down. The downed lines were near Woodtrail Drive. According to the County of Lexington, an oversized load struck powerlines while driving through the area. That left broken power poles and high-voltage lines down across the road. Dominion Energy were sent to the scene to restore power. At its peak 300 homes and business in the area were without electricity.
