An estimated 5,000 customers in parts of Chesapeake were without power Tuesday afternoon, Feb 27. The estimated restoration time was between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Crews were able to bring that number down to less than 1,500 customers affected by 2:00 p.m. The outages were concentrated in the Hickory and Great Neck areas of the city.
