An estimated 10,000 customers in Grand Rapids and East Grand Rapids lost power on Tuesday, Apr 9. According to the Consumers Energy outage map, the outage affected around 10,123 customers in Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, and Grand Rapids Township. The power outage was reported shortly before noon, according to the outage map. According to Consumers Energy, the outage was caused by an issue with equipment at a substation.
