Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia, United States

A section of Fort Avenue was closed both ways early Monday morning due to repairs being made to a power line; the fix to a problem that's leaving 1,700 people in the immediate community without power. The power went out around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night amid a thunderstorm that battered Lynchburg. According to Appalachian Power, the estimated restoration for the outage was noon on Monday.
